What can I say about Costa Rica? It left me speechless. It's pure paradise. A country that feels like it has been left untouched by mankind; the air is fresh, the food is raw, the people have a beautiful energy and the scenery? My god, the scenery is almost orgasmic to see.

I was a little addicted with the fruits in Costa Rica, they were the freshest I ever had. Specifically I loved Lychees, I could not get enough of them. Any long car ride, I was eating them. Super sweet and fun to open. But most of the fruit stands had so many choices, it was hard to chose only one.

I couldn’t get enough of these!

I couldn’t get enough of these!

I met up with my friend Adam whom I met in Switzerland where he took me rock climbing for the first time. We were bummed we didn't get to climb again in Switzerland so we met up in Costa Rica, we had a rough plan of where we wanted to go and what we wanted to do and see. We rented a car and drove around the country, which is the best way to see the country and be amongst the locals.

One of my favorite spots was the climbing area we found in Cachi. We had to hike in to even get there and it was along a river where you could camp out for the night. If you ever want to stay, its called Escalada Cachí. You won't regret staying there.

This is where we slept and climbed.

This is where we slept and climbed.

The constant flow of the river, the birds flying over head, the quietness away from humanity, and being only with nature was blissful. To wake up and sleep with the sun in pure nature feels so right. No technology, just you and mother earth. Wake up to her clock. The moon shines her bright light; its nature's nightlight.

Another highlight was spending time in Santa Teresa where I got to stay in a hostel I've always wanted to stay in. It was a yoga house, called Casa Zen and I wanted to be around my spiritual people after many days of partying in other towns to detox myself. I loved waking up early to do yoga every morning. They also had classes as well, which was great because you met other travelers too.

I was truly in my element, I had beautiful people surrounding me with the gorgeous scenery to go along with it. I was  in a blissful state and I did not want to leave.

I enjoyed being in Costa Rica so much that I definitely could see myself living there. I met amazing people along my travels and will definitely be coming back to experience more of what this beautiful country has to offer. Living the Pura Vida lifestyle for two weeks, humbled my me. It validated my beliefs that less is more and to live life to the fullest. I couldn't have asked for a better trip, Costa Ricans are the most heartwarming people I've ever met. Every single one of them.

Even when I was leaving to head home, Costa Rica gave me one last impression of how beautiful this place really is. I flew a tiny plane back to San Jose,  which gave me a breathtaking view of this little paradise.

Costa Rica is a BEAUTIFUL place and worth traveling solo. You’ll meet so many other travelers in hostels and around the country. Get yourself a taste of the pura vida life.
